It’s nearly time for Usk Pantomime

We have our latest panto soon, there’s not much time to go,

Called ‘Time Will Tell’ it’s going to be a very funny show,

It’s starring Rosie Huxley and our usual motley crew,

She has to save poor William Tell with female derring-do,

For three nights we’ll work hard to give a show to make you smile,

There’s songs and dances, some of which are in a real Swiss style,

The tickets are on sale now, good Fiona has them all,

(You have to say that line out loud, to make the words all scan,

I’ve tried to keep the rhythm going the best way that I can!)

So Thursday, Friday, Saturday night, choose one, or two or three,

The last days of November, it’s the only place to be,

The sound of laughter will ring out from Usk Memorial Hall,

So come along, we promise that you’re going to have a ball,

And in these days of credit crunch we need to make it clear,

We’ve kept the prices just the same as those we charged last year.

And one more thing we promise in our latest pantomime,

There won’t be anything as bad as this pathetic rhyme!

As you can see, I was well and truly in panto mood  when I wrote this. 'Time Will Tell' has a great new story, and super special effects which will keep the audience on its toes throughout.  It has now been added to the list of VIllage Hall pantos available on DVD and as a script - see the Panto page.
